A Living Memory of Italian Wine Heritage
The Chiarli Archive preserves more than 165 years of business and family records: a unique collection of original documents, photographs, historic labels, correspondence, production registers, and marketing materials dating from the mid-19th century to the present day. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture and listed in the National Register of Historical Enterprises, the archive offers rare insight into the entrepreneurial evolution of one of Italy’s oldest wine producers.
While the full archive is maintained in Modena, the headquarters of the Chiarli 1860 Group, a curated public exhibition, the Galleria Chiarli, is located at Tenuta Cialdini in Castelvetro di Modena, the production site of our premium wines, Cleto Chiarli and Quinto Passo Metodo Classico. This museum space brings the archive to life, presenting visitors with a selection of vintage bottles, antique winemaking tools, original medals and diplomas from 19th-century wine fairs, and rare viticultural texts dating back to the 1500s.
A Cultural Legacy Shared with the World
Joining Museimpresa places the Chiarli Archive alongside some of Italy’s most influential family businesses, reinforcing our commitment to preserving and sharing the values, innovation, and identity that have guided our work for over five generations.
This recognition also allows Chiarli to participate in national initiatives celebrating the heritage of Made in Italy. These include cultural events, educational programs, and collaborative exhibitions, ensuring that the story of Lambrusco continues to be told with the respect and curiosity it deserves.
