Cleto Chiarli has achieved notable results in the latest Vinous tasting of Italian sparkling wines, conducted in New York by Eric Guido in November 2025. 

The scores and tasting notes are particularly meaningful given Vinous’ famously rigorous standards and the highly competitive context of the category.

Across multiple bottlings, Cleto Chiarli wines were praised for their precision, balance and strong fidelity to both varietal character and vintage expression. The tasting notes highlight vibrant aromatics, fine acidity and mineral tension. All are hallmarks of Lambrusco when interpreted with technical rigor and stylistic clarity.

Among the standouts, Vecchia Modena Nero Noir 2024 earned a notable 92 points, recognized for its depth, elegance and exceptionally long, mineral-driven finish. The Vecchia Modena Premium 2024 and Lambrusco del Fondatore 2024 both received 91 points, confirming the consistency and quality of Chiarli’s top expressions. Two non-vintage wines, the Lambrusco di Modena and Centenario Amabile, also achieved 90 points, praised for their freshness, balance and expressive fruit.
